How much power can I get out of this engine before BOOM?
A 2004 GT Mustang engine, 4.6l V6, 281CI, starts at 260 hp.
Ok, then about how much horsepower would I have if I added the following:
Cold air intake, underdrive pulleys, ford racing high performance throttle body, new camshafts, pypes shorty headers, Pypes Xpypes, then the Pypes Violator muffler, and also electric cutouts, then using premium fuel, 3.73 gears. also I will delete the Air conditioning as well.
The stock internals are reliable up to about 400-450 RWHP. They aren't forged, so it's considered somewhat risky to run more than 8 or 9 pounds of boost. But if you're just doing bolt-ons, it won't be an issue.
